Hello and welcome to Baze Racing.
My name is B.J. Baze. I was born Dec. 6, 1978 in Sherman, Texas. I grew up around dirt track racing as my Grandfather, Bill Baze owned a race car for 34 years. I guess it is in my blood and I began driving an I.M.C.A Modified in 1994. Four months after I began driving, my " Grandpa" Bill Baze passed away in July. I still think of him often. I continued to drive modifieds through February 2000. During these years we traveled to a lot of awesome tracks and places. We raced in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and Iowa . We ran at the I.M.C.A. Super Nationals in Boone three different times.
In March of 2000, I began driving an I.M.C.A. Sprint car and we had an awesome rookie year . We raced at Heart O' Texas in Waco every Friday night and North Texas Motor Speedway in Royce City every Saturday night. We had one feature win, and 15 top five finishes. At the end of the season I was named the I.M.C.A. Sprint Car National Rookie Champion. It was awesome and a great finish to our first year in a sprint car. At the end of 2000, we decided to race the ASCS National tour. We bought an ASCS car, a couple of motors. At the start of the 2001 season we hit the road . We traveled to eight states and drove 26,000 miles for the National schedule. I finished seventh in National points in my rookie year. We also ran ASCS part of 2002 and then stopped racing. In 2008, we bought another modified about mid season and started all over again. At the end of 2008, we bought a Shaw car and it is totally awesome.
I am engaged to Meredith. We have a daughter, Kayleigh that is almost two. I have worked the past three years for Red River Plumbing. I love to race...race....race.
